Lessons and Training
Grayson Farm offers instruction at all levels and has many highly qualified instructors for both Eventing and Dressage.
Trainers: Kim Schmidt (in resident), Jim Koford, Mimi Combs, and Mark Combs. Grayson also has additional Advanced level Eventing, FEI level Dressage, and Grand Prix level show jumping clinicians hosted by local organizations such as UVA's Virginia Eventing and Dressage Team and Mountain Skyline Pony Club.

Kim Schmidt, in her life, has competed in hunters, jumpers, eventing and Dressage.
Kim is currently an L Dressage Judge, a Grand Prix Dressage trainer and USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist. She has been instructing students and training horses for forty years. She was involved in US Pony Club for 25 years in many capacities including DC as well as Instructor in preparing pony clubbers up to the A level and as a supporter of this fine youth riding organization. She is currently competing her homebreds at FEI levels as well as training her young horses coming along. Although highly unusual, Kim breeds her own mares, foals them out, does all the handling and early training of these babies as well as starting, training and showing them through the levels as far as Grand Prix.
Kim owns and runs her own breeding/boarding/ training business at Grayson Farm in Scottsville, Virginia.
